Distracted Eating

Don’t eat while you are distracted! When you are watching TV, reading, or doing something else while you are eating, it is easy to lose track of how much you are eating. You could end up eating a whole lot more than what you planned if you aren’t paying attention.

Try portioning out your snacks. If you are eating chips and salsa count out your chips and put them in a bowl, this will stop you from eating the whole bag. It may also help if you pace yourself. Eating slower gives your body enough time to realize when it is full. This will stop you from over eating.
